The journey to becoming a Website Designer

Becoming a website designer is not easy, there are plenty of steps you’ll need to take, and we’re going to outline these steps to make you more aware of what’s expected, especially if you’re serious about becoming a designer.

Firstly you should take an interest in coding, scripting and programming, including the likes of HTML, XML and JavaScript. You should then look to learn design software such as Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

Once you have a good enough understanding you can begin to build your own website, you can practice designing, and getting website’s live. Your sites may be basic during the early stages but as your skills develop so too will your quality of your websites.

To push your skills and learn from professionals you can take evening classes or perhaps study a website design course at university, but remember you have to put a lot of work in before you start seeing any results.
