Social Media: Using infographics to provide optimum information

Infographics are very handy because they’re able to provide lots of information in a bite size form, whilst they are eye-catching too (when designed accordingly). So why are infographics so popular on social media platforms today?

There is nothing that interests people more than data, especially in sales and marketing industries. The unfortunate thing is that data can be too dull to look at. We see a pie chart or a line graph and think work. An infographic makes it easy for you to present the information in a more attractive way, which is pleasing to your readers.

Easy to share: It’s very easy to share infographics because they’re really just a visual. All you need to do is to ask your readers to share the JPEG, PNG or PDF on their social media accounts. Doing this will not only help reach more people, but it will also give you more natural back links which will play a major role in increasing the ranking of your website in Google.

Easy to scan: There is plenty of information online and for you to find the information that you want, you to have to scan and skim plenty of content. An infographic makes work easy by organising information thus your readers don’t have to struggle to look for the information that they want to see. The cool thing is that 90% of the information in infographics is informative and of value to your readers.

Easy to go viral: Since they are so easy to share, infographics have a very good chance of going viral. To increase your chances, get as many people sharing your content early on, you should ensure that you only share unique and well-researched content. Remember, they should be informative and of value to your readers, but you also need to keep them ‘on brand’ and this calls for you to use the right colours and typography.
